Floyd Mayweather Jr - Manny Pacquiao fight rematch is something many fans are looking forward to.

The American fighter is already retired but the latter's camp is positive Floyd will un-retire because of money.

That is not the case according to Pretty Boy himself. In fact, he did not think of how much he would earn every time he fights, he claims.

"In the US there is a saying - money does not make the man, the man makes the money," he says according to Boxing Scene's Vadim Pushkin.

"I made the impossible possible. Going into a match, I never thought about the money. I was thinking about the fans and how to beat the opponent. The goal was to provide for my family. But the money for me was not the most important thing."

Floyd Mayweather Jr. abruptly left the sport in September after winning against Andre Berto to match the 49-0 record of Rocky Marciano. Before that, he already became the world's richest athlete according to Forbes.

In the same interview, the boxer, whose camp is called Money Team, insists that the reason behind his retirement is his health.

"Right now my ultimate goal is to help other people, to help people in other countries," he said. "I left boxing because my health is more important than money."

Talks of a Floyd Mayweather Jr - Manny Pacquiao fight rematch floated after Pacman's trainer Freddie Roach claimed back in October that Floyd will un-retire and possibly do another edition of "Fight of the Centuty" with Pacquiao. However, to make it happen, Pacman must produce a promising performance in his next fight set on April next year.

"Manny needs to fight, win, come out healthy and show the world his shoulder is 100%," Roach said as per Los Angeles Times. "If he does, I think we can get Mayweather."

"I don't see Floyd -- and Manny -- leaving all that money on the table. If Manny looks good, even if it's $100 million for Mayweather instead of $300 million, that's a lot of money. The way Mayweather spends money, and the way Manny is so generous with his, I would hate for either to go broke. This is a way for them to not go broke."
