Luna Family ReSound Linx Hearing Aid Connects to iPhone, iPad, iPod Touch

The world's first hearing aid compatible with Apple's iPhone allows users to change volume and customized settings via Bluetooth technology.

Consumers can also change Luna Family Hearing's ReSound Linx hearing aid's settings via an Apple iPhone, iPad, or iPod Touch to accommodate a variety of situations where they might need to listen a press release reported Wednesday.

Those who might lose their hearing aid can keep track of their device through the gadgets

"The LiNX hearing aid is an amazing advancement in technology and wireless application for hearing aid wearers who demand the best sound quality and wireless connectivity to their world," John Luna, CEO at Luna Hearing Aid said in a statement.  "We have been waiting for years for hearing aids to advance to the level of LiNX," Luna continues, "with a connection to iPhone, iPad, iPod touch devices and using Apple's FaceTime application directly streaming to LiNX hearing aids - it is truly an optimal listening experience through your wireless stereo headphones which just happen to be your LiNX hearing aids!" Luna said in the statement.

The hearing is available at Luna Family's 11 stores in Washington, and Oregon the press release reported.

Luna Family Washington's stores are in Wenatchee, Everett, Edmonds, Bellevue, Renton, Tacoma, Puyallup, and Vancouver the press release reported.

Consumers can calendar in an appointment in a Luna store by dialing 1-855-HEAR-NOW.

According to the press release, people can lose their hearing after continuing to go to concerts, nighttime establishments, sporting events, busy restaurants and noisy offices the press release reported.  

Other companies such as Proctor and Gamble have used their products with smartphones.

One of recent note is Proctor's smartphone toothbrush expected to be released in June Reuters reported.

The brush will cost 199 pounds in British currency or $330, and 219 euros in european currency.
