American Idol Josh Gracin Facebook suicide note scared family, friends and fans when he posted a cryptic farewell online:

'I've loved her for 17 years... I made mistakes... I admitted them, told her the truth and she turned her back on me when I needed her help the most... I love you all.. You have given me the greatest gift. You allowed me to touch your hearts with what I loved to do the most... Please remember me as someone who gave his all in his music... Pray for my family as they carry on in this world without me. Goodbye.'

Before anything else could happen, the police was able to locate Gracin and put him in an involuntary psychiatric hold to ensure his safety.

After serving his time in the Marine Corps, Josh Gracin went on to pursue his career in music, post-American Idol. He released two albums beginning 2004, and was able to top Billboard charts. The country singer and father of four goes on to thank his supporters for outpouring of prayers and love. He accepts the responsibilities of his action, and apologizes for the tension he may have caused his family and friends. His parting words have since been changed from 'goodbye' to 'see you very soon'.
