Fake ‘Friends’ Reunion Show 2014 Poster Surfaces, Angers Fans Worldwide; Series Creator Marta Kaufmann Explains Why Reunion Isn't Happening

A "Friends" reunion show 2014 rumors intensified as a fake poster emerges online!

A poster of "Friends" reunion show 2014, aptly titled "The One After The 10-Year Break" surfaced early this year and startled fans around the globe. Only to be debunked and disappointed that indeed it was fan-made, and seeing Monica, Chandler, Rachel, Ross, Phoebe and Joey together once more remains a dream still.

After hearing all the enraged fans, the creator of the poster felt the need to issue a statement clarifying that his intention was clearly not to upset anyone. It was meant for a couple of his friends who were fans of the series, and not planned to reach as many people, including Lisa Kudrow.

Yearly, there are rumors about a reunion of "Friends"; even one that went too bold as to say that there is a revival for the 11th season of the series. Yearly, there is talk of a movie version of the series. Yearly, fans get all riled up and overjoyed to hear such news. And yearly, creators David Crane and Marta Kauffman have to deflate this shiny balloon.

In 2012, the news of a "Friends" movie reunion appeared online. Jennifer Aniston, who plays Rachel in the series comments: "I can't imagine what that would be. It's not normal. 'Friends' is in your living room; 'Friends is not in a movie theater. It doesn't make sense to me. I think it would be going against its authentic self."

Kauffman explains why there would never be a reunion in a recent interview with Entertainment Weekly, "We always knew and felt very strongly that not only would it never happen, we never wanted to be part of that, because it so rarely works. We just felt like this show is about a certain time in your life, and once you're past that time in your life, the show is over."

Though many would love to have just one more episode and see the "Friends" cast back together, sitting comfy in that orange couch at Central Perk, it won't happen. It might be harsh, but the cast and creators believe that this is the perfect way to preserve that "Friends" feels.
