Christmas may come early this year as speculations on the release of Apple's iPad Air 2 and iPad Mini 3 surfaces online after the Bloomberg report on the "mass production" of these two tablets.

According to the report by T. Culpan and P. Burrows found in www.bloomberg.com, "Mass production of a full-sized iPad with a 9-7 inch screen is already under way, with an unveiling projected for the end of this quarter or early next, said two of the people... A new version of the 7.9-inch iPad mini is also entering production and will probably be available by the end of the year."

Although reports showed that iPad sales fell in the last quarter of 2013, interested customers where not discouraged to discover what Apple has in store for them.  Speculations about the possible product features buzzed online as excited customers continued to search for other news about the products.

Samsung and Sony tablets are charging against Apple in the race to win over customers through features unavailable in previous iPads. This will not be the case in iPad Air 2 and iPad Mini 3 with release date slated as this year ends.

One of the rumored developments in iPad Air 2 and iPad Mini 3 is said to be the fingerprint scanner known as Touch ID, which is one of the capabilities of the iPhone.

Both are also expected to run in the latest, much stronger and faster A8 processor. Contributive to the possible higher price increase as the chip is more expensive than the ones used in earlier versions.

Storage size for the iPad Mini 3 might come in the usual 16-32-64-128 GB choices much like its predecessor.

And even on the onset of release of iPad Air 2 and iPad Mini 3 where anticipation is building, rumors of the next iPad has already surfaced. It may be that iPad sales dipped quite a bit last year. Apple seems like they will not stand for it.
