"Ice Age 5" release date revealed!

Blue Sky Studios announces the release date of the fifth installment of the adventures of Manny, Sid, Diego and Scrat. 'Ice Age 5' release date/spoiler surge online, exciting fans worldwide of the possible, hopefully official plot lines and returning cast members.

Set in the Paleolithic ice age, the story follows the (mis)adventures of an unlikely pack: a great Mammoth named Manny played by Ray Romano, a talkative sloth named Sid played by John Leguizamo, a proud sabertooth tiger named Diego played by Denis Leary, and the equally courageous sabre-tooth squirrel named Scrat, played by Chris Wedge.

Since 2002 when the first installment was released, the "Ice Age" franchise has continued to captivate audiences worldwide. With a box office ranking an average of #11 on the four films (released 2002, 2006, 2009, and 2012), the success of the fifth installments has been highly anticipated.

Following the success of the franchise, video games, a television special, live shows and short films have been released.

While the fourth sequel, "Ice Age: Continental Drift" showcased a powerhouse cast voiceover, details to "Ice Age 5" remains unofficial. Voiceover for "Ice Age: Continental Drift" includes Queen Latifah, Nich Frost, Kunal Nayyar, Seann William Scoot, Rebel Wilson, Patrick Stewart, Ronda Sykes, Nicki Minaj, and Peter Dinklage. Casting rumors reveal that main characters Manny, Sid and Diego voiceover actors will likely to reprise their roles.

According to "Mama Latina Tips", in an interview with John Leguizamo on the possibility of "Ice Age 5", he says: "It sounds like they're working on something. So hopefully the answer is Yes, but I cannot say for sure."

Speculations on the plot found online show a religious following of the animated film. Some speculate that Manny, Sid and Diego finally realize the contribution of Scrat in the changes in their environment. Some are also writing about the possibility that this may be the last we'll see the three Paleolithic animals in the big screen. Official press about the plot remains unavailable.

"Ice Age 5" release date is set for July 15, 2016.
