Central America Gets a Taste of Cold Stone Creamery

SCOTTSDALE, Ariz.-Central America will now get to taste the mouthwatering ice cream flavors of Cold Stone Creamery. The pilot shop will be in El Salvador in the fourth quarter of 2014. The mother company of Cold Stone Creamery, Kahala Brands, has closed a Master Franchise Agreement with CMR Global. This is an entity under the GP Restaurants organization that will give the supreme ice cream experience to ice cream addicts of Central America. It will be located in Multiplaza Mall, a first class mall of El Salvador.

"GP Restaurants has been a stable Central American organization that runs top international names," quoted by the senior vice president of global operations and development at Kahala Brands, Eddy Jimenez. "Their strong leadership has been tested in local market recognition and restaurant-related experience. Cold Stone Creamery brand is the ideal company to their exemplary portfolio."

Famous as the first in Food and Beverage industry in Central America, GP Restaurants represents more than 15 names that oversees 160 restaurants in Panama, El Salvador, Costa Rica and Guatemala.

At present, Cold Stone Creamery has been consistently showing its improvement in the global market scene. The development of the brand started last November 2005 when the company put up its pilot store in Tokyo, Japan.
