Dickey’s Barbeque ‘1-866-BARBECUE’ Hotline Earns Record-Breaking Sales

Introduction of national catering hotline draws in massive sales at Dickey's Barbeque Restaurants.

Dickey's Barbeque Restaurants earn record-breaking sales from their own national catering hotline.

Dickey's Barbeque Restaurants, Inc. reportedly beat their $6.4 million sales mark.

August 2011 marks the company's introduction of 1-866-BARBECUE, a national catering hotline that lets callers connect with catering professionals live every minute of every hour of every day of the week.

The catering hotline makes up 15 percent of total sales of Dickey's Barbeque Restaurants

A statement was released in Franchising.com regarding the rising sales of the restaurant.  "Since our inception in 2011, we've continued to see a significant increase in catering orders across all markets, said Michelle Sarlis, Director of catering sales for the company.

"And, with our store count climbing to 500 by the end of 2014, we anticipate our busiest holiday season yet," she added.

Dickey's Barbeque Restaurants is the largest barbecue chain in the U.S. It has done catering for over 40 years, offers other services from personal lunches to catering buffets for any event. The restaurant chain caters to weddings, business luncheons, weddings and birthdays.  

Roland Dickey, Jr., the CEO of Dickey's Barbecue Restaurants Inc. stated that catering builds up additional income for the restaurant's franchisees. According to him, the catering part of their business experiences gradual advancements every year.

The catering hotline answers calls from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. CST, 24 hours a day for all Dickey's Barbeque Restaurant locations.

Dickey's Barbecue Restaurants, Inc. is a Dallas-based family-run barbecue restaurant and has been around in the business since it was founded by Travis Dickey in 1941.

The Restaurant's goal was to provide customers with authentic slow-smoked barbecue, with a tagline, "We Speak Barbecue."

As of the moment, the company already has 400 locations in 40 states.

It has been dubbed as "Top 10 Growth Chain" by Nation's Restaurant News and "Fastest-growing restaurant chain in the country" by Tecnomic.
