Kpop girl group T-ARA has just made their comeback last week and they are already under fire due to accusations of plagiarism.

Their latest single “Sugar Free” is an electronic dance music (EDM) house track that is said to be similar to Dvbbs‘ “Tsunami,” and also with the intro to DJ Felix da Housecat‘s track “Give Me Body.” T-ARA released their 10th min-album “And & End” on September 11 and has begun promoting the title track “Sugar Free,” which is a song that has a strong and electrifying beat. This is the group’s first time to explore the EDM genre.

According to a house music fan, “The music genre Big Room has a tendency to share certain music tempos/sounds/beats but in the case of ‘Sugar Free’ there are too many similar characteristics.” As stated in an article from Koreaboo blog website.

Adding fuel to the fire, T-ARA is also being accused of plagiarizing famous electronic duo Justice’s first album “T” album cover, the “T” drawn similarly in the same perspective and also the same color family.

T-ARA’s carrier single "Sugar Free" is known to have been composed by the popular and famous composer Shinsadong Tiger, and will have an different remix versions set to be released including a Ferry, Beatrappa, Dion, Jeffrey Choi, DJ Big bounce X DJ Onetwo, Monster Factory and many more remixes for a total of 13 versions, and will be available on Beat Port –the world’s largest electronic site.

The six-member girl group’s agency Core Contents Media, dismissed the rumors of plagiarism stating, “We haven’t heard anything about it.”
