‘Star Wars Rebels’ Release Date Coming Soon; Spoilers Update: Elements Of ‘Episode VII’ Present In The Upcoming Disney Animated Series?

Another classic franchise is coming to your home screen, this time in animated form as Disney Channel brings "Star Wars Rebels" release date in October 3, 2014.

The plot set between the "Star Wars Episode III: Revenge of the Sith" and "Star Wars Episode IV: A New Hope," the coming "Star Wars Rebels" release date next month cannot come sooner for excited fans. The plotline will revolve around a group of rebels aboard the starship "Ghost".

The official description of "Star Wars Rebels" release date on October is quoted in Slashfilm.com explaining, "The Jedi have been wiped out and the Empire spreads tyranny through the galaxy. Hope runs thin. But on the small planet of Lothal a big change is looming. A group of rebels meet a 14-year-old con artist named Ezra and soon it's clear their destinies are linked. Aboard their ship, the Ghost, Ezra and the rebels embark on an adventure to ignite a rebellion and strike back against the Empire."

In a published version of the "Star Wars Rebels" by DK Publishing, key characters of the upcoming animated series were revealed. According to Star Wars Official Website, the characters of "Star Wars Rebels" with release date in October includes Kanan Jarrus, Ezra Bridger, Zeb Orrelios, Sabine Wren, Hera Syndulla, and Agent Kallus among others.

According to Entertainment Weekly, cast members of "Star Wars Rebels" showcases the talents of Freddie Prinze, Jr., Steven Blum, Tiya Sircar, Vanessa Marshall, Jason Isaacs, David Oyelowo, Billy Dee Williams, James Arnold Taylor, and Anthony Daniels.

In an interview with Entertainment Weekly, executive producer Simon Kinberg talks about "Star Wars Rebels" (release date in October) and its connection to the coming "Star Wars: Episode VII." He shares, "It's a very integrated process, there's real communication between all the filmmakers because we're all part of a larger timeline. There is absolutely communication and integration between the different stories."

"We are very aware of what they're doing in VII, and we also have to click into place with 'Episode IV'. There are characters, vehicles, imagery that are introduced in the show before we've ever seen them in the movies, possibly including VII," explains Kinberg in the interview.
