iPhone 6 Release Date: Delivery Delayed On Apple's New iPhones Due To High Demand, 5.5" iPhone Has Month-Long Waiting Time For Delivery

Due to a record of four million pre-orders of the new iPhone 6 and iPhone 6 Plus on its first day alone, most customers may have to with until October for their iPhone shipment to be delivered.

Apple revealed that plenty of customers will be receiving their phones next month due to a very large demand that exceeded their current supply but they will start shipments as early as Friday.

The number of pre-orders for both iPhone 6 and iPhone 6 Plus were double the orders compared to Apple's iPhone 5 last 2012. Last year, Apple announced that they sold nine million iPhone 5S and 5C in the first weekend.

The new iPhone can be found in Apple stores in United States, Canada, Australia and other countries starting Friday. Some authorized resellers will also be offering the phones on Friday. Some of the resellers include AT&T Inc, Sprint Corp, T-Mobile US and Verizon Wireless.

Clients may have a higher demand for the larger screen model. The 4.7 inch version is available for delivery on September 19 but the 5.5 inch model has about a month long wait time for delivery.

The new iPhone have larger screens, thinner body, faster performance and comes with Apple's digital payment service, Apple Pay. The new phones are available in Gold, Silver and Space Gray. iPhone 6 starts at $199 while iPhone 6 Plus starts at $299. This new model has three differentiating factors: it has a longer battery life, optical stabilization for the camera and and iPad-style landscape mode which displays more content on its screen. The new phones also offers connectivity improvements such as faster LTE and better connectivity while travelling.  The phones are available in 16, 64 and 128 gig.

Next year, Apple will also be launching its new product, Apple Watch which will also have the Apple Pay system.

This year, the new iPhone will not be available in China until this October.
