George Clooney's wedding is nearing, and more updates spread like wildfire online
In a report by E! News, an Italian media outlet has just released updates and details on this George Clooney wedding with Amal Alamuddin.
According to Italian news website Corriere della Sera, Clooney and his wife-to-be will be married by Walter Veltroni, a close friend of the groom's since 2007. The two reportedly met during the ceremony at the World Summit of Nobel Peace Laureates.
Veltroni is a former mayor of Rome, and was dubbed as "Obama's European counterpart", E! News reported.
The foreign website also claimed that the conclusion of the three-day celebration of George Clooney wedding would be at Ca' Farsetti, a 14th century palace in San Marco District in Venice, which faces the Grand Canal.
Speculated A-list guests include U2's Bono, Ellen Barkin, Sandra Bullock, Matt Damon, newlywed Brad Pitt, and Julia Roberts, according to the report.
George Clooney wedding guests are said to stay at Hotel Aman, in which a suite could cost up to $5,180 per night.
Clooney and his fiancée Alamuddin, a British-Lebanese human rights lawyer, were engaged in April 2014.
At an event in Venice, E! News previously reported that Clooney had confessed her love for Alamuddin: "I met my lovely bride-to-be here in Italy, who I will be marrying in a couple of weeks in Venice, of all places. Amal, I love you to death and I cannot wait to become your husband."
Amal Alamuddin is described by one of her colleagues "a brilliant and passionate defender of human rights who has put in the enormously hard work necessary to improving them. She is respected and admired by all her colleagues."
Corriere della Sera also claimed that Lana Del Rey, wedding singer of Kim Kardashian and Kanye West, will be serenading the newly married couple.
Speculations are swirling that the bride-to-be is going to wear an Alexander McQueen wedding dress. Reports said Alamuddin and her mother Barria spent hours at the fashion house of a high-profile designer of wedding dress in London.
But the Italian website, said Alamuddin will wear an Oscar de la Renta on her big day.
