InterContinental Hotels Group announce Sept. 17 the grand opening of the company's newest hotel, the Staybridge Suites located near Highway 249 in Houston, Texas.
Texas is currently home to more than 30 Staybridge Suites hotels. The company is planning to put up 15 more hotels in the area.
"We're very pleased to welcome the Staybridge Suites Houston NW Willowbrook Hotel to our quickly growing family of upscale extended stay hotels," as stated by VP for Brand Management of Staybridge Suites and Candlewood Suites Robert Radomski.
"With more than 30 Staybridge Suites hotels in Texas, the state and specifically the Houston area, is a key development market for the brand. We are excited to offer Houston travellers another place to enjoy the home-like and community living experience that Staybridge Suites hotels offer," Radomski added.
The upscale hotel is strategically located near Houston's fast-growing businesses and facilities: Noble Drilling, Foxconn, HP and hospitals like St. Luke's Hospital and Methodist Hospital.
The Willowbrook hotel was transformed into Staybridge Suites after a $2 million renovation investment.
The Willowbrook hotel is owned by Willowbrook Hospitality, LP and managed by DePalma hotels and franchised by an affiliate of IHG.
"This is our first Staybridge Suites hotel and we are excited to add the flag to our portfolio and grow the brand here in Houston. We look forward to providing a warm and home-like atmosphere for our guests, many of whom will be travelling to the Houston area for work with nearby companies and other business drivers located near the hotel," according to the general manager of Staybridge Suites Houston NW Willowbrook hotel.
Staybridge Suites Houston NW Willowbrook hotel boasts of 77 innovative and spacious suites with studio, one-bedroom and two-bedroom/two-bath.
The hotel emanates a homey vibe and has several amenities like Wi-Fi, hot breakfast, laundry room, fitness room, a pool and 24-hour business center and convenience store.
Hotel guests can also socialize in the hotel's Great Room with social evening of beer, wine and various entrees, held every Tuesday to Thursday.
