The charming and equally terrifying pint-sized Junior is coming back, and into your homes this time as NBC network declares it is working on the 1990s movie "Problem Child" remake.

The American commercial broadcast television network, NBC is known for bringing audiences classic sitcoms such as "Day of our Lives", "The Price is Right", "Jeopardy!", "Hollywood Squares", "The Flinstones", "Looney Tunes", "Mad About You", "Frasier", and the 90s hit TV series, "Friends".

NBC to date continues to air watch-worthy shows such as "America's Got Talent", "Parenthood", "Hannibal", "Grimm" and "Saturday Night Live", the network is continually in search of that family oriented comedy sitcom that could be the next best classic like NBC's previous shows.

The 1990s movie "Problem Child" stars John Ritter, Amy Yasbeck, Gilbert Gottfried, Jack Warden, Michael Richards, and Michael Oliver. Directed by Dennis Dugan, the film focuses on the carrier title, a problem child named Junior.

Junior comes to John Ritter's character, Ben Healy from a Catholic orphanage and is adopted, however the little child causes chaos in his adoptive father's life.

"Problem Child" remake news surfaced early this month, declaring the NBC is committed to producing a reboot of the film. Handing over the writing reigns to "The Hangover Part II" writer, Scot Armstrong. Guided by Peter Traugott and Rachel Kaplan as producers, the team will rally together in hopes to create a family friendly television adaptation and "Problem Child" remake.

According to reports by TVOverMind.com, NBC is going with the 2014 version of the remake. The plot remains unclear however as "Problem Child" remake could go as a prequel or a sequel to the film.

Critics however remain skeptic as the film itself wasn't anywhere close to success during its premier. Tim Surette of TVGuide.com explains, "There are many movies from the 1990s that would make great television shows... Way, way, way down that list would be the 1990 critically maligned comedy 'Problem Child", a movie that most would want to forget they ever saw."

So far, NBC has not released other information on the "Problem Child" such as release date and casting.
