‘Konichiwa!’ Canada Welcomes Popular Japanese Restaurant, ‘Edo Japan’

Teppanyaki-style restaurant 'Edo Japan' opened Sept. 19 its 30th Calgary restaurant located on the 36th street N.E. Marlborough Mall pad site.

The popular Japanese restaurant is known for its signature dishes: Sukiyaki beef and Teriyaki Chicken as well as other fresh healthy meals made with quality ingredients.

The fast-casual Japanese restaurant has 106 locations all over Canada. The newest location is the restaurant's 76th branch in Alberta.

The new restaurant is owned by franchisee Geoffrey Nguyen who began working with Edo Japan 20 years ago.

Nguyen worked for several years in the corporate office of Edo Japan before deciding to acquire his first food court branch at Marlbourough Mall in Canada.

Nguyen opened another branch where customers can savor delicious Japanese food at the newest location down the parking lot at the new Marlborough Mall pad site.

"I have worked closely with the Edo Japan brand for more than 20 years and have witnessed the success of the company firsthand," as quoted by Nguyen.

"Edo japan's popularity continues to grow and it was an easy decision to expand my Edo japan restaurant portfolio by opening a second location," Nguyen added.

The company's franchisees helped develop the brand it was known for today.

"The growth and success of Edo Japan can be attributed to the commitment and dedication of our franchisees," stated by Tom Donaldson, President and CEO of Edo Japan.


"As we continue to expand we look forward to establishing a presence in the neighborhoods where we resife and sharing our love for 'Simply Better Food.'" Donaldson added.

The restaurant's menu features fresh and affordable selections like yakisoba noodles, Udon soup, fresh sushi and other delicious Japanese cuisine.

The Japanese restaurant boasts of serving more than eight million meals per year.

Edo Japan is Calgary, Alberta-based restaurant featuring fresh and hot Japanese Teppanyaki-style cooking to suburban shopping districts and food courts across Canada.
