New Hannibal Season 3 Spoiler has been released and it takes you one step closer to the suspenseful and gory world of Hannibal Lecter (Mads Mikkelsen) and Will Graham (Hugh Dancy). In a tweet by the NBC series’ executive producer Bryan Fuller, fans are now aware that the first episode of the third season will be called “Antipasto.”

Using food-related words as title for each episode has been the trademark of Hannibal. In the first season, the terms are mostly French. The second season is Japanese. For the third one, they will be using Italians? It makes sense though as according to Hannibal Season 3 spoilers, the show’s location will be changed from Minnesota to Europe. Will it be in Italy? There’s a chance, especially with the fact that in Thomas Harris’ novel where the series was based from, Hannibal Lecter once run onto an Italian police officer named Rinaldo Pazzi who tried to track him down. Hannibal eventually killed him.

Previous Hannibal Season 3 spoiler said that the first part of the new season will be more about the escapade of Lecter and Dr. Bedelia Du Maurier (played by Gillian Anderson) who will pose as couples while the sophisticated cannibal is hunting a new victim. This means we won’t see much of the ‘sweetness’ between Will Graham and Hannibal. In the first two seasons, Hannibal fell for Will’s gift and he badly wanted to make him a friend he thought he can transform Will to what he is. However, in the end, he was disappointed that Will tricked him into believing that they can get along. The Will and Hannibal ship maybe a bit strange given the two characters’ mission but for Bryan Fuller, he thinks it is fun. He even commends ‘Fan Fictions’ featuring the two’s relationship.

Fuller told Complex:

"I'd say the homoeroticism is more me just cackling in the editing room, as opposed to something that the characters are genuinely feeling when they're in the room with one another," Fuller explains. "Will Graham is a heterosexual character, and Hannibal Lector is the devil and would probably be able to eroticize everything from his perspective because he's in awe of the human condition. Of course, that's not to say that they're going to be falling into bed -- I'll leave that to the online community.”

"[Fan fiction writers are] doing what we're doing with the show, because the show for me is very much fan fiction of these characters that I adore. So that's why I'm very respectful and appreciative of fan fiction and fan art that positions these characters in ways you wouldn't see them on the show."
