San Francisco 49ers Rumors: Niners Players Wants Jim Harbaugh Out, Says Deion Sanders

Sep 29, 2014 08:59 PM EDT | By Staff Reporter

NFL Network analysts Deion Sanders said in a San Francisco 49ers rumors update that most players in the team wants coach Jim Harbaugh out.

In an interview following the 49ers close 26-21 win over the Philadelphia Eagles, Sanders, citing unnamed sources within the team, said that most players doesn't want to play for Harbaugh anymore.

"They want him out," Sanders said via CSN Bay Area. "They're not on the same page."

Harbaugh, who is coaching in his fourth year at San Francisco, has had success at the helm, leading the 49ers to three straight NFC Championship stints, including one Super Bowl appearance, but Sanders reported that the 50-year-old coach is already losing the trust of his key players.

"I really want to know if they're really playing for their head coach," Sanders added in the San Francisco 49ers rumors update. "I've got a question with that. Are you really down with your head coach, San Francisco 49ers? I'm not hard to find. Because the way it looks to me and what I'm hearing, you're really not down with your head coach, and that's a problem."

Sources indicated that Sanders' source might be Michael Crabtee. However, the Sanders took to Twitter to deny that Crabtee is his source, posting: "To many that this may concern @KingCrab15 (Crabtee) is not my source. My sources wear uniforms, suits and ties."

When asked to comment on Sanders' report, Harbaugh called the rumors "a bunch of crap" as he reiterated that he is not the type of person who will immediately believe in a report citing an unnamed source.

"I think whenever you talk about unnamed sources, if somebody's got a good story to tell, they want to put their name to it." Harbaugh said via ESPN. "So I don't put a lot of credibility into the unnamed source."

Harbaugh added that he has been open to talking to players who are having issues with him, but he reiterated that no player has talked to him about any complains recently.

"Players have good ideas. Coaches have good ideas. Equipment managers have good ideas. Trainers have good ideas, strength coaches. We welcome that," Harbaugh said in San Francisco 49ers rumors update. "If we're not doing something right or there's a better way to do it, let's get it out in the open. Let's talk about it, and we're willing to do anything to fix up or make it better."
