Waiting for Yvonne Strahovski New Show? Well, the chance to see the Australian actress again on TV is near as she was cast by ABC in their new drama series, the Astronaut Wives Club. Strahovski was last seen in 24: Live Another Day this year where she played the role of Kate Morgan. The 32-year old actress played her role well, critics even think that Kate Morgan has the “potential to be the female version of Jack Bauer.” However, her future in the series is still up in the air.

There’s no need to fret though as she is going to be seen again on a starring role. Hitflix first reported about the Yvonne Strahovski new show and there will be some reunion of sort as she will work again with Chuck creator John Schwartz.

“With the future of the "24" franchise — and her role as Jack Bauer's latest trusty sidekick — in limbo, Yvonne Strahovski has gone back to the past in more ways than one with her new gig, playing one of the title roles in ABC's "Astronaut Wives" club, written and executive produced by Stephanie Savage, and by "Chuck" co-creator Josh Schwartz.”

Hitflix added:

“Strahovski will play Rene Carpenter, wife of Mercury astronaut Scott Carpenter. The press notes suggest that "Her modern attitudes are source of both conflict and courage for the other Astrowives. Over time, Rene finds her own voice and awakens to a higher calling in politics, civil rights and women’s issues." She joins a cast that already includes JoAnna Garcia Swisher as Betty Grissom and Odette Annable as Trudy Cooper.”

It seems that we won’t see a kick-ass Sarah Walker-like Yvonne in this series. But who cares right? If you are missing Chuck Bartowski, this Yvonne Strahovski new show will somehow satisfy you.

There’s not much Astronaut Wives Club but reports say it has already been picked up to a full season. It was intended to air this January but was pushed to midseason.
