Kitson, an upmarket department store chain, is preparing to close all of its 17 retail locations as well as its online shop, Shokitson.com, according to a report from the Los Angeles Times. The boutique chain, known as the shop being frequented by the likes of Paris Hilton and Lindsay Lohan, has been struggling since 2013 as it over-expanded, at times opening in areas with high rents.

Target Corporation will be closing 13 of its stores across the U.S. on January 31, 2016, according to a report from CNN Money. The retail giant cited falling profits as the reason for the closure of the stores.
Fresh & Easy, a struggling grocery chain, is beginning the process of winding down its business operations, according to a report from The Orange County Register. The company though, is still looking for buyers to sell part or all of its locations and operations.
Macy’s Inc. has announced that it will be closing down 35 to 40 of its underperforming Macy’s stores in early 2016, according to a press release issued by Macy’s.
Stage Stores, Inc. have reported that it plans to close down approximately 90 stores that are underperforming as part of its strategic evaluation of its real estate portfolio, according to a press release issued by Stage Stores.
