Yellowstone National Park has decided not to target bison with biobullets as part of a proposed plan to vaccinate the animals against brucellosis. Bison is still considered to be a rarity in the park since they are some of the only surviving ancestors of the wild plains bison.

Yellowstone National Park officials are asking for assistance in finding who shot and killed three bison inside the park, where hunting is illegal. Yellowstone Chief Ranger Tim Reid said a $5,000 reward is being offered to anyone who can help find information that can lead to a conviction in the killing of the animals.
