Earlier Da Vinci's Demons season 3 spoiler revealed that there's no assurance that all characters will stay for long in the show once it return next year. According to Tom Riley during the New York Comic-Con, no one is safe. Does it include Riley's character. Well, it is very unlikely to see a Da Vinci's Demons without the beloved artisan. For showrunner John Shiban who took over after David Goyer left the show, Leonardo Da Vinci will face the greatest test of his life because he could be battling himself.

"Some of his designs have been stolen and used against him, so Da Vinci has to out-Da Vinci himself," Shiban said during the presentation of the Starz show at the New York Comic-Con.

Riley's character will be going through a lot. In another Da Vinci's Demons season 3 spoiler from the Entertainment Weekly, the English actor revealed that his character will undergo major transformation. When visited by the EW's Debbie Day on the set, Riley said that this season has "been the hardest yet, the hardest work, and the hardest on Da Vinci-and me, at the same time."

The show will also be making a major shift this season as it will focus more on the characters instead of the storyline. Shiban, who worked with Vince Gilligan in AMC's Breaking Bad, said that Da Vinci's Demons Season 3 will be more focused on the development of each major character.

"It's a character drama," Shiban said. "The characters are so rich and their biggest enemies are themselves. That's the journey they're on."

"I was obsessed with da Vinci, but it's been an eye opener especially his forward thinking in social issues and human relations that we get to play with in the show," Shiban said.

Shiban also revealed that he's a big fan of Da Vinci's Demons.

"Since I was very young, I was fascinated by this character and I tried to build some of his inventions as a young man - I mean I failed," Shiban said. "What I love about the show is the cast and the scope and the storytelling is just amazing so when I had the opportunity to jump onboard, I had to."
