Harry Potter book series author J.K. Rowling has revealed early this year that she will write a screenplay of a Harry Potter movie spin-off entitled "Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them." The new film will focus on the adventures of Newt Scamander,a "magizoologist," who devotes his life in search for magical creatures in an "extension" of Potter's fantastical world. The spin-off is said to be directed by David Yates, who helmed 4 of the 8 Harry Potter franchise.

In a recent report, the new Harry Potter spin-off is reportedly the first in a film trilogy, which could have more on the way. "Jo [Rowling] has a vision for this extension of the franchise, and for the first time, she is writing the script for what she believes is at least a trilogy," Warner Bros. CEO Kevin Tsujihara revealed, as reported by LA Times.

Last month, Rowling made her fans excited when she posted on twitter the following: "Cry, foe! Run amok! Fa awry! My wand won't tolerate this nonsense." The famous author later on revealed it was an anagram referring to one of her created characters, Newt Scamander. "Newt Scamander only meant to stay in New York for a few hours...#anagram."

With the Harry Potter spin-off on the way, fans are speculating, and probably wishing, that Rowling will release another Harry Potter novel, but the writer quickly dismissed the rumors in a statement written on her website. "I have always refused to say "never" to this question, because I think it would be foolish to rule out something I might want to do in a few years' time. However, I have no immediate plans to write another Harry Potter novel, and I do think that I have rounded off Harry's story in the seven published books."

The new Harry Potter spin-off is scheduled to be shown on November 18, 2016, while the 2 remaining installments are said to be released in 2018 and 2020.

Stay tuned for the cast and characters of this Harry Potter spin-off.
