The Attack on Titan Live Action has been whipping up a storm on the internet lately, and a few details have been released.
That includes the release of new characters to play in the live-action adaptation. According to Shikishima, there will be seven new characters, and one of them will play an important role in the film and will be dubbed as"humanity's strongest man."
According to Director Shinji Higuchi, the Attack on Titan Live Action film will be divided into two parts. Whether they will continue and aim for a trilogy after the second film, we've yet to find out. As previously reported, Attack on Titan is indeed crossing over with Marvel. While details seems scarce as of the moment, fans of both the manga and the franchise have been jumping with joy as soon as the news came out.
This news got viral after Marvel's Senior Vice-President, C.B. Cebulski has tweeted an image of a crossover between Spiderman's world and the japanese manga, which quickly became viral. In his tweet, he said: "Not a joke, folks. Attack on Titan and the@Marvel universe are crossing over! In 2 weeks. In Japan. Want a teaser?"
Guardians of the Galaxy is also set to be included in the plot, according to comicbook.com:
"Through Anime News Network, we now know that the Marvel Universe/Anime mashup will feature The Guardians of the Galaxy, The Avengers, Female Titan, Colossal Titan, Armored Titan, and more in a New York City-based story. Past artwork has confirmed that Spider-Man will also participate in the story.
Details on the story's creative muscle have also surfaced. Attack on Titan creator Hajime Isayama will provide the "Scenario" (which we assume is the plot), Marvel's Senior Vice President of Creative & Creator Development C.B. Cebulski will provide the "Breakdown" (which we assume is the actual scripting), and artist Gerardo Sandoval will provide the art. Marvel's Executive Editor Tom Brevoort edited the series, with fellow Marvel editor Jake Thomas assisting. In an introduction to the comic story, Cebulski teased that a major Titan characters could die in the crossover, saying that 'Nothing is sacred.'"
The idea of the Attack on Titan Marvel crossover stemmed from the question: "What if Spider-Man and the Avengers battled a 46-foot-tall Titan in the streets of New York?", which was taken from Marvel's "What If?" comics. As to whether the protagonists from the AOT manga will be making an appearance in the crossover, we have yet to know, since Spiderman will obviously be the one taking care of defeating the monsters from the japanese manga.
