The Jurassic World First Look Teaser Has Arrived! Full Trailer Due On Thursday; Plot, Cast And All The Latest News Inside!

Director Colin Trevorrow teased a few details about the upcoming Jurassic World movie in an interview with slashfilm.com. He confimed that it takes place 20 years after the events of Jurassic Park. He also confirmed that new, crossbred dinosaurs would be appearing in the film.

"Yes, there will be one new dinosaur created by the park's geneticists. The gaps in her sequence were filled with DNA from other species, much like the genome in the first film was completed with frog DNA. This creation exists to fulfill a corporate mandate-they want something bigger, louder, with more teeth. And that's what they get."

"I know the idea of a modified dinosaur put a lot of fans on red alert, and I understand it. But we aren't doing anything here that Crichton didn't suggest in his novels. This animal is not a mutant freak. It doesn't have a snake's head or octopus tentacles. It's a dinosaur, created in the same way the others were, but now the genetics have gone to the next level. For me, it's a natural evolution of the technology introduced in the first film. Maybe it sounds crazy, but most of my favorite movies sound crazy when you describe them in a single sentence."

Here's the official plot via Yahoo UK:

"Jurassic Park is now called Jurassic World, a fully functional dinosaur park that sees 20,000 visitors a year, the realisation of owner John Hammonds dreams. The scientists may have gone too far in creating some sort of hybrid dinosaur, which escapes and terrorises the park."

Trevorrow, best known for directing Safety Not Guaranteed, has tweeted a picture captioned 'WRAP' hinting that the heavily anticipated film of 2015 is finally over.

Frank Marshall, the producer of "Jurassic Park 4" also shared news on his Twitter account "Big day for JW. Thanks NOLA!" They shot most of their scenes in New Orleans and they even got some locals to play extra in the movie."

Scenes were reportedly shot at the abandoned Six Flags theme park, converted into a dinosaur park complete with hotels, restaurants and a golf course. Guardians of the Galaxy's Chris Pratt, who also stars in Jurassic World as 'Owen' says he's "excited about people seeing the park." He also added: "The park is up and running. John Hammond's dream has come true and there's now a park with 20,000 visitors a day, and everything he dreamed of and more is there at that park. And you will see it as an audience member when you see this movie -- and then you will see it get torn down."

In another interview with The Collider, Pratt reassured fans of the dinosaur franchise that the movie is in good hands with Trevorrow:

"It's going to knock your socks off. It's gonna be so awesome, so awesome. And to the long-time fans of the franchise, it's in good hands. Colin is a huge fan, he's gonna deliver a movie that is worthy of the brand and I swear to you it's just gonna be so good I already know it. I can tell,"

Since filming has been confirmed officially done and that the movie has gone into its post production phase, Universal Pictures decided to release a first look teaser for fans and moviegoers; full trailer due out this Thursday.

Produced by Universal Pictures, Jurassic World has been confirmed to premiere on June 12, 2015. The cast includes Bryce Dallas Howard, Vincent D'Onofrio, Omar Sy, Ty Simpkins, Irrfan Khan, Ty Simpkins, Judy Greer, and Nick Robinson.
