Mimi's Café Launches Charity Campaign to Help Children's Miracle Networks Hospital

Mimi's Café announced that throughout the month of July, they will celebrate the "Mimi's for Miracles" campaign to help fund the Children's Miracle Networks Hospital.

On Friday, July 6, those who purchase an item from Mimi's Café from anywhere in the country, or donate to the hospital, will get a free Strawberry Shortcake muffin at participating stores, said a press release issued by Mimi's Café on Tuesday. The hospitals waere co-founded by actor John Schneider of "Dukes of Hazzard" and "Smallville" fame.

"Mimi's has a longstanding relationship with Children's Hospital of Orange County," Mark Mears, President and Chief Concept Officer of Mimi's Café, explained for the press release. "Our Mimi's for Miracles campaign is especially meaningful as we extend our partnership with Children's Miracle Network Hospitals, allowing us to help more kids in 45 additional CMN Hospitals around our restaurants across the country."

Through July 31, those who donate $1 will get a Miracle Balloon paper icon on display at any Mimi's Café in the country, said the press release, and $5 donations will get a balloon lapel pin, noted the press release, with all proceeds going to the hospital. Mimi's Café will be handing out $30 in coupons to those who donate to the charitable cause from now until July 31.

Mimi's will also be branching out their support through their social media websites like Instagram and Facebook. The funds made from the campaign will go to support the Children's Miracle Network Hospital, which will fund the medical care and research to help the 17 million children treated at their facilities each year, noted the press release.

"Mimi's Cafe represents excellent food, and our Miracle Balloon represents excellence in child-health services at our member hospitals. What a perfect combination!" John Schneider, Children's Miracle Network Hospitals co-founder, was quoted as stating for the press release. "By hosting this campaign at their restaurants, Mimi's is exemplifying our original mission to save as many children's lives as possible, and doing so by raising funds locally."
