Singer Justin Bieber very famously was pulled over by police last week for driving at 80 miles per hour on the Los Angeles Freeway last week while trying to escape from a handful of paparazzi trying to get photos of him. As a result of having the photographers chase him down the road, Bieber called 911 to report that they were recklessly driving after him, said TMZ.

Bieber, according to the 911 recording obtained by TMZ, said "I have like 5 cars following me." He continues, "They are driving really reckless."

Bieber, the world famous teen singer who is currently dating Selena Gomez, lied to the 911 operator when they asked for his name. When the operator asks Justin for his last name, the singer answers ... "ummm, Johnson."

The 911 operator had received notice that Bieber had been stopped on the 101 Freeway by the police, noted TMZ, and the singer confirmed it was him, but explained his situation, according to the audio recording. It was broadcast this morning on radio station LA 96.3 FM.

"They're the ones that are driving recklessly now, I'm just trying to like not have them be on my tail right now." Bieber continued, "Before I was driving fast so I could get away from them and got pulled over myself."

Rumors surfaced regarding Bieber's fast driving incident, where Los Angeles City Councilman Dennis Zine said that he believed the singer was going at least 100 miles per hour and was dangerously weaving in and out of traffic, in his apparent attempt to get away from the paparazzi, said TMZ. Zine, who was a former Los Angeles Police Department motor officer, said the singer was driving so recklessly that he was alarmed Bieber hadn't gotten into an accident or killed anyone

Zine argued that with Bieber's reckless and fast driving he deserved to be imprisoned, TMZ reported. No such thing has so far happened witih Bieber.
