Dual-sim phones has been dominating the Asian countries and Samsung evidently following this trend as it recently launched a new dual-sim capable flagship with a decent price tag.

Samsung Galaxy Core 2 Vs Samsung Galaxy Core Prime: both handsets falls on the budget end market, but differ from their competitive functionality.

Design and Screen

It's still a no surprise that Samsung doesn't gave up its plastic design on its flagships and still apparent on these two handsets.

The Samsung Galaxy Core Prime measures 130.8mm x 67.9mm x 8.8mm and weighs 130g. It sports a  4.5-inch LCD display, and a WVGA screen resolution of 480 × 800 pixels with a pixel density of 207 ppi.

Meanwhile, the Samsung  Galaxy Core 2was launched last summer measures 130.3mm x 68mm x 9.8mm and weighs 138g, and carries the same resolution with its successor.

Hardware and OS

Under the hood we'll see the major upgrades, the Galaxy Core Prime houses a quad-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 410 and  Cortex-A53 processor, clocked speed at 1.2 GHz and supported by a 1GB of RAM. It is equipped with an 8GB of internal storage and expandable memory of up to 64GB via a microSD. It runs on Android 4.4.4 Kitkat

Meanwhile, the Samsung Galaxy Core 2 also has a 1.2GHz quad-core processor but the chip and GPU are unspecified, according to Phones Review UK.  It is supported by a 768MB of RAM and 4GB of internal storage . Its external memory is expandable up to  64Gb.

Camera

Both phones features a 5 MP rear camera with LED Flash and autofocus. The only difference is that the Galaxy Core Prime can record 1080p while the Galaxy Core 2 can record at 480p.

In terms of their front snappers the Galaxy Core Prime stepped it a notch featuring a 2MP and VGA camera on the Galaxy Core 2.

Battery

Both handsets are backed up  by a 2,100 mAh battery capacity.

"It also boasts of 2,000mAh battery with ultra-power saving feature, where in the device can run for 1.2 days straight with just 10% power under stand-by mode," IB times said in a report.

Price

Phones Reviews UK also added, "The Samsung Galaxy Core Prime has still not been officially launched for India, but it's already for sale at some retailers from around Rs. 9,300. The Samsung Galaxy Core 2 launched at around Rs. 11,900 but has dropped in price and can now be found for around Rs. 7,900 depending on retailer."
