Xiaomi Mi5 Release Date: The Upcoming Flagship Might Finally Enter The US Market; Debuts At CES 2015 In Las Vegas

Xiaomi has been the biggest threat of Androids in Asian market as its offers killer features with a decent price tag.

The rising Chinese tech company has been recently reported to be in the works of a new flagship the Xiaomi Mi5 and some series of leaked photos supported this news that's been swirling around the internet now.

The purpotedly Xiaomi Mi5 photo is reported it leaked on China's social media Weibo as a user named @ilevon posted two photos that is speculated straight from the production line.

As reports say, with its Mi branding that we can see on the spy photos this might be the successor of the Xiaomi Mi4.

Business Insider describes the phone as " There are virtually no bezels along the side of the display, which gives the phone a slim and premium look. It appears to be significantly bigger than the Mi4." Xiaomi is also known a copycat of its iPhone's design, but base on the leaked photo the alleged Xiaomi MI5 resembles the HTC One.

In addition, Uber Gizmo said in a report that the upcoming Xiaomi Mi5 might house a 64-bit octa-core Snapdragon 810 processor and Adreno 430 GPU. It might spot  a 5.7″ QHD (1440 x 2560) resolution screen and a 20.7MP Sony Exmor sensor that will cater for its rear camera.

It was also mentioned In some previous reports that the upcoming Xiaomi Mi5 will support a 4G LTE and a finger print scanner like most high-end phones feature nowadays.

As per to Xiaomi Mi5's release date hasn't been confirmed yet, but rumors suggest that it will make an appearance at CES in January 2015 that will be held in Las Vegas.

Rumors also suggest that the affordable high-end will join the US market.

According to Tech Times, "News of Xiaomi's ambitions to break into the United States' mobile market arose on SlashGear, which cited Chinese-language news site the Economic Daily News. The report states that Xiaomi will make an appearance at the Consumer Electronics Show, Jan. 6-Jan. 9, in Las Vegas, debuting its $325 Mi5 -- to be clear, that's the phone's off-contract price"
