OfficeMax will have several familiar faces plastered on their merchandise for the back-to-school season, including Marvel's The Avengers and Angry Birds.

The faces of the Avengers, Angry Birds, and various animal prints will be featured on all sorts of school supplies, ranging from notebooks, backpacks, lunch boxes, and folders, said a press release issued by OfficeMax on Friday.

"This year's back-to-school supplies were designed and selected for today's style-centric student with trendy, affordable supplies that are a win-win for children and parents alike," Michael Lewis, executive vice president, president of retail at OfficeMax, stated for the press release. "Our customers have come to expect our extensive assortment of unique school supplies for children of all ages and appreciate our focus on maintaining an extensive selection year-round to meet their needs and budget."

The Angry Birds characters, including the exploding birds and green pigs, will be featured on the covers of folders, pencil pouches, binders and book covers, said the press release. A variety of superheroes, especially those big this summer like the Avengers, Batman, and Spider-Man, will have their imagery printed on binders, notebooks, jump drives and portfolios, listed the press.

Glitter and jewel-encrusted products will be available for purchase at OfficeMax this summer and September, as well, and some are indeed exclusive to the OfficeMax corporation, noted the press release. Zebra, leopard, and rainbow animal prints will also be featured on school supplies at OfficeMax this summer, on blinders, notebooks, erasers, and mouse pads.

OfficeMax will also have massive discounts on many of their back-to-school items, including markers, composition notebooks, glue, scissors and more, said the press release, for as little as 25 cents, 50 cents, and $1. The discounts and new merchandise will be advertised through televised commercials in the United States, noted the press release, with the latest offers every week for back-to-school needs.
