Sony's latest flagship smartphone has just been recently released and it has been getting good reviews from its users so far. Slightly smaller than Xperia Z3, having a 4.6-inch 1280 x 720 resolution screen, it was able to maintain its high quality specifications with only a slight change in the design.

Compact Display

For one, Xperia Z3 Compact's screen is now made of rubberized plastic with extra rim at the top and bottom, which, according to users, is now more comfortable to hold, not to mention that it looks much better than its bigger counterpart. Having a pixel density of 319ppi, there is only a very minimal difference in terms of image clarity if you compare it with iPhone 6. As for its color accuracy, ExpertReviews UK said that it is "significantly brighter" than its competitors such as Samsung Galaxy S5 Mini and HTC One Mini 2.

Chipset and Benchmarks

This is the determining factor whether a smartphone's value is worth its price. And based on several reviews, Xperia Z3 Compact is a cut above the rest of other mini handsets since it did nit sacrifice its quality by choosing to stick with 2.5GHz quad-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 801 processor, just like its big brother. Having a price of £350, X3 Compact is giving LG 3 and Samsung Galaxy S5 a run for their money. Sony used Android 4.4.4 for this handset, and is actually making an exceptional performance for a mid-range phone. Another unique feature of this handset is having a PS4 Remote Play support which lets its user make use of the phone itself as a remote screen for PS4! How cool is that, right?

Battery Life

Another remarkable attribute of the Xperia Z3 Compact is its long battery life. It can last up to 20 hours if you set the screen to only a half of its normal brightness. It is actually 90 minutes longer than Z3 even if they are powered by the same 2,600mAh battery.

Camera

The only feature that is not flattering is the Compact's camera since low-light performance is somewhat disappointing according to some users. Moreover, pictures being taken appear to be slightly over-exposed.

Overall, the Experia Z3 Compact is a good investment, if you choose to buy mid-range handset. It has been given the "Best Buy award" by ExpertReviews UK. Let us know your thoughts on the new flagship smartphone of Sony through the comments section below.
