LG G3 Vs HTC One M8: Clash Of The Best Android Phones Of 2014! Design, Features And Specs Compared

LG G3 was hailed as the best phone of the year by Trusted Reviews and considered as tough competitor of the iPhone 6 and HTC One M8.

The LG G3 pairs hugely impressive specs sheet with an innovative, near bezel free design, as noted from Trusted Reviews.

On the other hand, the HTC One M8 received a Global Mobile Award for Best Smartphone at the Mobile World Congress in 2014.

LG G3 Vs HTC One M8: it's a stiff competition of two highly acclaimed smartphones of 2014. Which phone rules the Android market?

Here's a comparison from The Fuse Joplin and Christian Today of design, specs and features.

Display and Screen

When it comes to design, both phones boast a brushed aluminum finish with sophisticated design.

The LG G3 measures 5.76 x 2.94 x 0.35 inches and weighs 5.26 ounce.

It boasts an incredible display of 5.5in IPS QHD with a resolution of 1,440 x 2,560 in 534pp.

While HTC One M8 has the dimensions of 5.76 x 2.78 x 0.37 inches and weighs 5.64 ounces and comes in three different colors gunmetal, gold and artic silver looks sophisticated. It also boasts 1,080 x 1,920 pixel resolution and full HD display

Hardware and OS

Both phones are powered by Qualcomm Snapdragon 801 CPU and clock speed of 2.5GHz.

LG G3 is coupled with Adreno 330 GPU, while the HTC One M8 is equipped with 2.3 GHz.

The LG G3 is supported by a 3GB of RAM while the HTC One M8 is backed up by a 2GB of RAM.

These two phones also offers the same 32GB internal storage variant, while LG G3 offers smaller memory variant - 16GB. Both phones' external memory are expandable of up to 128GB via a microSD card.

These two phones currently run on Android 4.4 KitKat build with HTC Sense UI on the HTC One M8.

Android 5.0 Lollipop will roll out on these devices soon as reports say.

Camera

The LG G3 has a 13MP rear camera that features BSI sensor with a dual-LED flash and 4K/1080p video capture capability and uses optical image stabilisation (OIS) with laser autofocus; and a 2.1MP camera on the front.

Camera wise, HTC was the first to introduce dual camera feature. The HTC One M8 camera has a 4- megapixel rear-facing camera classified as ultra-pixel camera, that promises decent photo but does not feature an image stabilization. Its rear camera is coupled by a 2.1MP front snapper.

Price

According to Christian Today, the LG G3 and the HTC One M8 both costs $199.99 on contract with AT&T and unlocked version of the HTC One M8 costs $650, while the LG G3 costs $773.
