Xiaomi Mi4, like many of Chinese manufactured phones, has been dubbed as an iPhone copycat in terms of its design, but with its killer feature it can go head to head to any other high-end phone in the market today.

On the other hand, the HTC Desire 820 is one of the best mid-range phones, and boasts a 64-bit capable processor.

Xiaomi Mi4 VS HTC Desire 820: Design and Screen

The Xiaomi Mi4 carries an iPhone like feel, it feature a stainless steel frame and white plastic fixers, while the back is made of glossy plastic and has the dimensions of 8.9 mmx139.2 mmx68.5 mm. It weighs 149 grams and has a screen of 5-inch Full HD display with a 1,920 x 1,080 pixel resolution.

In comparison, the HTC Desire 820 is packed in a dual tone plastic shell and a polycarbonate back. It measures 157.7x78.7x7.7mm and weighs 155grams and sports a 5.5inch 720p screen display with 271ppi.

In terms of their performance, the Apple of China has a powerful processor of quad core 2.5GHz Krait 400 and a Qualcomm MSM8974AC Snapdragon 801 chipset along with an Adreno 330 graphics processing unit, and supported by a 3GB of RAM. It offers two storage variants of 16GB and 64GB, and does not support microSD expansion.

Though the HTC Desire 820 has an inferior processor. It boasts a 64-bit capable processor of an octa- core with a quad-core 1.5GHz Cortex-A53 and quad core 1GHz Cortex-A53 CPU. It is supported by a Qualcomm MSM8939 Snapdragon 615 chipset. Backed up by a 2GB of RAM and a higher GPU of Adreno 405. It offers a 16GB and 32GB internal storage, and expandable via a microSD.

Camera wise, both phones has the same camera resolution on its rear and front, but offers different camera tweaks.

 Xiaomi Mi4 sports a 13MP rear camera with and Sony Exmor IMX214 rear snapper and 8MP Sony Exmor IMX219 front camera.

While the HTC Desire 820 has the same rear camera that features autofocus, LED flash, HDR, HD video and image recording.

The Xiomi Mi4 has a 3080 mAh battery which can last up to 280 hours in standby mode, while the HTC Desire 820 is backed by a 2600 mAh battery which claims to provide 22 hours of talktime on 3G.

The HTC Desire 820 costs around $410, while the Xiaomi Mi4 16GB retailed in China for an approximately $320, and 64GB s for $405.
