One Direction Splits Up Because Of Zayn Malik? Singer Could Be The Possible Cause For The British Boy Band’s Break Up As Wedding With Fiance Perry Edwards Pushed Back

British boy band One Direction is rumored to be splitting up next year and rumors are singling out member Zayn Malik as the possible cause, Inquisitr reported.

One Direction has been hounded by rumors of them disbanding for months now and the recent stories have it that the split might come from Malik's decision to quit the band due to his struggles with fame and media.

Malik, Niall Horan, Liam Payne, Louis Tomlinson and Harry Styles are constantly in the spotlight and it has been reported many times that Malik has difficulties with the fame surrounding them. So much so that the "lone wolf" of the band was rumored to have been absent during several high profile appearances, according to Unreality TV.

In Unreality TV's list, the writer noted the ten instances Malik allegedly "ditched" his members, such as the group's album launch in Orlando, rehearsal time at the "X Factor" studio, meeting actor Johnny Depp, charity screening of "This is Us" with sick children, and more. He even missed events important to his band members such as the wedding of Tomlinson's mother and Horan's charity football match.

Sources even stated that Malik was counting the days until his contract with SYCO expired so he could leave the band.

However, Malik had a reputation of always being missing, such as during his "X Factor" days when he missed rehearsals and slept in, was sick numerous times, or have important family events or emergencies to take care of, so the press could be overreacting, according to Unreality TV.

The rumors are claiming though that Malik having to push back his wedding to Little Mix singer Perrie Edwards was also a cause of discontent.

Malik reportedly had to cancel his Disney-themed wedding with Edwards as the both of them were too busy to plan their nuptials, according to OK! Sources admitted that the pair had to settle for a long engagement and there were no plans given their lack of time together.

Some sources even claimed that Edwards asked the other band members to keep an eye on Malik and that the members are reassuring him that he can talk to them, according to ENI Network.

"Zayn is stressed out and sick of his life being in the spotlight. He isn't sleeping well and seems exhausted," the source claimed. "He's started to feel really jaded by the endless travel and attention."

It remains to be seen how Malik will continue to deal with his and the band's ever-growing fame and demanding schedule as One Direction is set to embark on another world tour next year with a fifth album supposedly in the works after that.
