Taco Cabana announced that it will be introducing two new items to its fast-food chain menu, the Steak Asadero tacos and flan for dessert.

The Steak Asadero tacos come from the state of Chihuahua in Mexico, and feature Asadero cheese, and is made with a handmade six-inch flour tortilla, marinated diced sirloin steak and grilled onions, said a press release issued by Taco Cabana on Wednesday. The cheese will be melted into a buttery texture. Flan of course is made the same way as egg pudding is.

"We're excited to introduce our delicious Steak Asadero tacos to our menu for a limited time," Todd Coerver, chief brand officer at Taco Cabana, said for the press release. "This latest menu option along with Flan, were inspired by our trip to Mexico last year and continue to showcase the authentic ingredients and tastes which our guests have come to expect from us."

From now until September 24, for a limited time the Steak Asadero tacos can be bought at Taco Cabana chains for $2.59, as a plate of two tacos with rice, beans, guacamole and two flour tortillas for $6.99, or as a combo meal with two tacos, a side and a 20 oz. drink for $7.19, noted the press release.

"Asadero is a mild, semisoft, creamy melting cheese with a tangy finish," Diego Galicia, corporate chef at Taco Cabana, was quoted as stating for the press release. "The ingredients we have chosen are very simple, but once married together, the unique and savory flavor will surely delight our guests."

The flan, available starting July 24 for $1.49, is a sweetened egg custard with caramel sauce spread on top o fit. It will also be available for a limited time with the Steak Asadero tacos.

"Our cooks prepare all of the ingredients each morning and place them in to serving cups," said Galicia. "Once cooled and set, it will be flipped on to a plate and drizzled with caramel sauce as standard in traditional Mexican cooking."
