Jenna Dewan is confirmed to be joining American Horror Story for its second season, according to EW.

Dewan will co-star opposite Maroon 5 and "The Voice's" Adam Levine and round out a pairing described as "The Lovers" in the sophomore season of the drama. Dewan is married to Channing Tatum and gained popularity for her role in Step Up 2.

"[Adam] is a sexy guy, so he needs to play a sexy guy-but the guy that is different than who you think he would play," American Horror Story's Ryan Murphy said at the TV Academy show, according to E Online.

"The second season is fun, sexy and baroque. It has a lot of meat to it; it's a really gritty part. He's with a girl, and they play characters called The Lovers."

The series will be set at an East Coast mental institution for the criminally insane in the 1960s and feature the cast portraying completely different characters from their Season 1 roles.

According to the report, this year's story - which has no relation to season one - will take place in an insane asylum, and the cast will include Jessica Lange, James Cromwell, Joseph Fiennes,Sarah Paulson, Evan Peters, Lily Rabe, Zachary Quinto, Chloë Sevigny, Mark Consuelos and French actress Lizzie Brocheré.

FX's American Horror Story's first season garnered 17 Emmy nominations earlier this month, tied for the lead with AMC's Mad Men.
