Miss Bum Bum runner up Andressa Urach suffers from septic shock from botched surgery she underwent last Novermber 2013. The 27-year-old finalist had hydrogel injections to increase the size of her bum and thighs.
Last year some time in July, Miss Urach started to feel a lot of pain in her legs and discovered that her leg muscles were ROTTING after being unable to absorb the hydrogel.
"The hydrogel was not absorbed by my body and started to harm me," said Andressa in an interview.
"Now I've discovered that the PMMA is sticking to my muscles and causing the tissue to rot. That's why I am feeling such strong pains. I'm taking morphine every four hours and antibiotics to alleviate the suffering."
Doctors had 400ml of hydrogel drained out of her upper thighs, but they soon found out that her leg had been seriously infected. She was later moved to the intensive care unit and spent a month on the ICU for recovery.
It was believed that Urach had twice the recommended dose of hydrogel was injected into her thighs.
Examiner adds, that Miss Bum Bum Runner-up Andressa Urach experienced serious complications including sepsis, cardiac arrest and respiratory failure while hospitalized in Our Lady Of The Conception Hospital in Porto Alegre.
Urach has had at least nine other plastic surgeries that include a nose job, a bioplasty facial correction, jaw reduction, breast implants, liposuction and vaginal lip reduction. Her roommate, Jessica Lopez, also reveals that they were both addicted to plastic surgeries.
"Andressa and I would go to the plastic surgeon as if we were going shopping. We were slaves to beauty," said Lopes.
Moreover, Andressa has previously made headlines as she claimed that she slept with Real Madrid's Cristiano Ronaldo, but the soccer player denies her claims on his Facebook account.
On the other hand, Daily Mail adds that Urach is "now on the road to recovery, and was pictured sporting heavily bandaged thighs while walking on a beach in Florianopolis."
