"Harry Potter" fans are going to freak out over the highly anticipated illustrated series. On Jan. 13, Scholastic announced that the first book of the series, "Harry Potter and the Sorcerer's Stone," will be released in living color on Oct. 6, 2015.

It's hard to not imagine Danielle Radcliffe, 25, and Emma Watson, 24, as Harry and Hermione, but evidently fans are going to have a different experience reading the epic storyline this time around.

Just when we thought that the 'Harry Potter' phenomenon was sadly over, we were pleasantly surprised that the beloved series is being revamped a with the help of artist, Jim Kay.

"To be given the opportunity to design the characters, the clothing, the architecture and landscapes to possibly the most expansive fantasy world in children's literature, well let's just say I'm extremely excited about it. The story is everything, and so I want to bring what I can to really show the depth of Rowling's stories, to their best," Jim Kay said in a statement according to Us Weekly.

Harry Potter 2.0 will continue to keep us on our toes, especially as Scholastic plans to release each book of the series each year over throughout the course of the next seven years.

As another era of Hogwarts heats up, J.K. Rowling fans have also reveled in new information recently revealed about Draco Malfoy by the iconic author on the Harry Potter fansite, Pottermore.

With new resources like Pottermore and the highly anticipated illustrated "Harry Potter" editions underway, fans will have an incredibly immersive experience! It all sounds so magical.
