HTC One M9 (Hima) Release Date Set For March 1 At Mobile World Congress? The Upcoming Flagship Might Be Powered By Qualcomm Snapdragon 810

HTC has confirmed its participation at Mobile World Congress 2015 through sending out its invites on its March 1 event and the said event will be held in Barcelona Spain Tech Radar reports.

The invites are captioned with "utopia in progress" and teases on "what's nex"' on the Taiwan based phone manufacturer.

Many have speculated that the HTC One M9 will be unveiled at MWC and it is interesting to note that its predecessor was launched at the same event last year.

The HTC One M8 with its ultrapixel camera was the show stealer at MWC 2014, and awarded as Global Mobile Award for Best Smartphone.

So, what to expect from the One M9? This is what we know so far.

HTC One M9 (Hima) specs and features have been in the rumor mill last year. We've learned that HTC has been allegedly dropped the 'M' on its upcoming flagship.

According to GSM Arena, gadget tipster @upleaks has spilled some beans on Twitter about HTC's upcoming flagship.

"@upleaks reports HTC won't be using the M codenames anymore and the next flagship is now known as Hima. He reports another batch of specs of the next Android top dog - the successor of the HTC One (M8)."

The HTC Hima specs as @upleaks has revealed; it will sport an octa- core 64-bit Snapdragon 810 processor and four cores running at 2.0Ghz and four cores running at 1.5GHz.

The latter offers an octa- core processor with 4 Cortex-A57 cores at 2.0GHz and 4 Cortex-A53 cores at 1.5GHz, Adreno 430 GPU and 3GB or RAM.

Since, it'll be HTC's top of the line flagship. It might sport a 20.7Mp rear camera and a selfie snapper at 13MP. Other alleged features of the HTC Hima include, LTE Cat.6 connectivity, a 2,840 mAh battery and Android 5.0 Lollipop plus HTC Sense 7.0 UI.

Samsung Galaxy S6, LG G4 and Xperia Z4 are also rumored to debut at MWC 2015.
