Ubisoft is at it again and this time, they reveal news about the highly anticipated Watch Dogs 2!

Following the announcement at E3 2014 that the much-loved Watch Dogs has indeed become a franchise, fans are eager to hear more of the upcoming sequel, including release date and gameplay details.

During E3 2014, although Ubisoft did announce that Watch Dogs is a franchise, they did not clarify whether Watch Dogs 2 was in the works. Recently, the Canadian game developer shared details of the much-awaited sequel.

GamesTM reports Ubisoft's Jonathan Morin comments about the development of Watch Dogs 2. He said "the challenge when we made the first game was to create something that would make people dream about something else."

He further explained that "when you start a new project [and new IP], it's a blank page and everything you do is what you want to do. With a sequel, there is more pressure to push a brand forward and we now have to appeal to fans in a new way. You have to carry on taking risks. I will not do this job if there is no risk in it, [which] would just be boring. You shouldn't prevent yourself from trying something just because it's hard and the solution is not apparent."

Watch Dogs 2 release date news has yet to be revealed at this point, while there has been numerous rumors that say the sequel will come by mid 2016. While Watch Dogs released late last year went out for PlayStation 3, PlayStation 4, Xbox 360, Xbox One, Wii U and Microsoft Windows, Watch Dogs 2 is said to come to PlayStation 4, Xbox One and PC upon its release date.

Watch Dogs 2 is also reportedly to bring back hacker Aiden Pearce, however specific gameplay details are yet to be unleashed.
