Lady Gaga's new song appears to talk about her rape story, which she kept a secret for years until recently. According to a report from Idolator, Lady Gaga's new song "Till It Happens To You" debuted at a Sundance Film Festival rape documentary entitled "The Hunting Ground".

Lady Gaga's new song was part of the said Kirby Dick docu-film, which reveals the shocking rape culture that is supposedly happening in college campuses around the country.

There is still no information as to when Lady Gaga's actual new song will be released other than being heard in the film. However, the 28-year-old singer has been tweeting about "Till It Happens To You", which is a collaboration between her and acclaimed songwriter Diane Warren.

The international hitmaker announced her latest single via her @ladygaga Twitter page  while at the Sundance Film Festival. "Recorded a song w/ amazing @Diane_Warren for very important doc #TheHuntingGround that premieres at Sundance today! Congrats 2 all involved," Lady Gaga said.

"The film documents the lives of young people affected by rape. Our song is called "Till It Happens To You',"

Lady Gaga tweeted excerpts from her new song. "You don't know how it feels... Till your world burns and crashes, till [you're] at the end, the end of your rope," she wrote.

The release of Lady Gaga's new song "Till It Happens To You" and it's message to end rape culture follows her recent revelation about how she was taken advantage of when she was younger.

Lady Gaga's alleged rape history was reported by Cosmopolitan towards the end of last year. According to the pop star, she was only a 19 years old and "very naïve" when someone took advantage of her.

"I was about 19... I went to Catholic school and then all this crazy stuff happened," she narrated to Howard Stern.

"I was going, 'Oh, is this just the way adults are? I was very naïve."

"It wasn't until I was a little bit older that I went, 'Wow, that was really messed up,'" the singer shared.
