Tim Tebow in Sexy Shirtless Spread in GQ, Critics Upset over 'Jesus' Similarity [PHOTOS]

Tim Tebow is in the spotlight again, and not for his football skills, but for his sexy yet controversial pose in the new GQ magazine which has a cover story of the athlete controversially titled "Brothers, Have You Accepted Tim Tebow As Your Sunday Savior?"

The 25-year-old shows off his muscular physique in this month's U.S. GQ magazine, posing in nothing other than a pair of clinging black Nike trousers. The photo, which was taken when he was winning national championships, is in the middle of a heated debate.

The photo features Tebow wearing only the bottom portion of his football uniform while striking a pose much like that of Jesus on the cross with his arms outstretched and legs crossed. Craig Carton, host of a WFAN sports radio show in New York City, had plenty to say about Tebow and the photo Tuesday morning, calling the quarterback a narcissist, a fraud and "sexy Jesus."

"He gets it, he plays the role," said Carton, whose callers seemed to agree with him. "He's typically very, very sincere and very, very consistent about who he is and what his beliefs are. You just saw a little inkling into what he thinks of himself."

The GQ cover story was written by Devin Gordon, an avowed Jets fan who promises that if Tebow leads "the Jets to their first Super Bowl title in my lifetime, I promise you here and now, Tim Tebow, I will fly to whichever mega-church hosts your next Sunday serson, and I will get down on one knee, pump my fist, and accept you into my heart as my lord and personal savior, so help me God, amen."

The sexy photo will most definitely please Tebow's non sports fans, who were left disappointed when the devout Christian had a revealing advert for Jockey pulled earlier this year. Sales had soared after he posed in only his underwear for the firm, but Tebow was said to be less than happy with the image.
