'Orphan Black' Drug Dealer Crosses Over To World Of Walter White In Spin-Off Series 'Better Call Saul'

When "Better Call Saul" release date comes, prepare to get blown away by the actor who played a drug addict in BBC America's sci-fi show "Orphan Black."

Michael Mando, who portrayed the drug addict Vic, won't be seen anymore in "Orphan Black" season 3. Although not included anymore in the show about clones, Mando made a good impression of himself because of his convincing portrayal of Vic, the wrecked abusive husband of Tatiana Maslany's Sarah Manning.

In the "Breaking Bad" spin-off series "Better Call Saul" that will star Bob Odenkirk, Mando is excited about his debut. There is a big pressure among the cast given the fact that "Breaking Bad" is one of the most successful TV series in recent times. For Mando, he vows to give justice to his role as Nacho Varga by researching about how illegal drug works In America.

"First of all, my two strongest feelings are excitement and gratitude about the role. The most important thing on a project is really the writing. And to be directed by these Emmy Award-winning producers and directors really compels you to give your heart and soul," the "Orphan Black" alum said in an interview with The Star.

"I also researched everything I could when I got the role. From the drug business in New Mexico to the history and culture of the area. When you meet Nacho he's a career criminal and he's very ambitious. He's not the kingpin yet, but his ambitions lead him to a major collision course with Jimmy. (In the prequel, Saul is known as Jimmy McGill.)

He's also very much like a crocodile. Imagine a croc who's hungry. He needs to feed to grow."

"Better Call Saul" release date is on Feb. 8 and will be followed by another episode on Feb. 9 to complete their two-night premiere. Although it is yet to air an episode, AMC has already renewed the show for 13-episode second season.

Meanwhile, Mando's former show "Orphan Black" will start its season three on April 18.
