"The Wolf Pack," winner of Grand Jury prize at Sundance 2015 is set to release in the second half of 2015.

The highly acclaimed documentary tells the story of six brothers and a sister who were detained at their four bedroom apartment in New York by their parents, Daily Mail reports.

The Angulo siblings- Bhagavan, 23, twins Govinda and Narayana, 22, Mukunda, 20, Krisna, 18, Jagadesh, 17, and their sister Visnu were homeschooled by their mother Susan, a former hippie from Midwest.

They were locked up inside their home, and allowed to watch movies to have a glimpse of the outside world. According to the Daily Mail, the siblings have watched over 5,000 movies and reenact some scenes and characters from their favorite movies.

Meanwhile, in a recent interview, New York director Crystal Moselle described her encounter with the brothers and how she befriended them to pursue her documentary.

"I am so lucky to have been on First Avenue that day at that precise moment," she told The New York Times.

"I felt like I discovered a long-lost tribe from the Amazon."

Director Moselle then gained access to their lower east side apartment and documented the Angulo siblings for four years. But the six brother's sister Visnu was rarely featured on the documentary due to genetic disorder.

"I came in to this story right when they started coming out of the house," she told the Sundance Institute.

"Their father had, I believe, a lot of fear of the outside world and he wanted them to have their own way of raising their kids. Everything was pretty much kept within the household. What's so fascinating about them is they really have created their own world through their interpretation of the films they've watched."

At present, all of the six siblings still lives at their lower east side apartment with their parents, and only Govinda Angulo has left home.
