Recent reports suggest that Lionel Messi might leave Barcelona soon following the departures of sporting director Andoni Zubizarreta and Carles Puyol.

He was also linked to different Premier League leaders Chelsea, along with Manchester City and rivals Manchester United, and rumored to be unhappy working with Luis Enriquez, Crunch Sports reports.

In an interview with Spanish radio program El Partido de las 12, Gerard Pique has confirmed that Lionel Messi and Luis Enriquez had a row, but denies the rumors that the FC Barcelona forward disrespects their coach.

"He's the coach, the boss, though Leo has a lot of clout in the dressing room. There are disagreements in every squad. Luis Enrique and Messi had a spat, but it's a thing of the past," he said on his interview.

On his interview, Shakira's husband, Pique, has also revealed his desire to stay with Barca until the end of the his career.

"I love this profession more and more each day and I'd like to keep on playing," the centre-back added. I can safely say that I plan to retire here at Barca, whether that's at the end of this season or six years from now. I won't play for another club," he added on his interview.

Despite the rumored row between Enriquez and Messi, the FC Barcelona coach credits the 27-year-old forward ahead of his 300th La Liga appearance.

"Leo Messi's stats are from a different galaxy, not just in how he scores but the way he supplies assists," he said ahead of Barca's home Liga clash with Levante on Sunday. (via Goal)

"Also, the titles, he was won individually and as a team, I think football is evolving towards a greater psychological and technical development. There's less space now, Messi has no space or time and it is much more difficult - players needs to be much better developed. It's much harder to score goals in modern football."

Meanwhile, Lionel Messi's signed football was sold for £45,000 at Sotheby's London headquarters. The auction was part of '1 in 11 campaign' led by the club to raise funds for UNICEF, the Daily Mail reports.
