"Hannibal" season 3 premiere episode and the next ones will focus more on Dr. Lecter (Mads Mikkelsen) and Dr. Bedelia Du Maurier (Gillian Anderson) in Italy posing as couple.

After leaving, Will Graham (Hugh Dancy), Special Agent Jack Crawford (Laurence Fishburne) and Dr. Alana Bloom (Caroline Dhavernas) literally gutted, the couple will freely wander in the European country, preying on another victim.

Aside from Will, Jack and Alana, another character that will not be seen in "Hannibal" season 3 premiere episode is Dr. Frederick Chilton (Raul Esparza), who was last seen tortured by Lecter and had no choice but to leave town after being set-up for murder of another person.

Although dormant in the first few episodes, Hannibal Lecter and fans should watch out for this character as according to the actor that portrays him, Dr. Chilton will stage a vengeful return. He added that his character will be "darker" than in the two previous seasons.

"I think the more that happens to Chilton, the darker he gets," Esparza said in an interview with Enstarz.

"And certainly his sense of humor rises up because he thinks he's better than everybody. I feel like the season taught him a lesson. And he's coming back with revenge on his mind. But he's not a fighter."

While Dr. Lecter and Dr. Maurier are having a great time in "Hannibal" season 3 premiere night, Chilton is plotting a return to become one of the sophisticated cannibalistic doctor's toughest nemesis.

"Chilton's role is to torment Hannibal," the actor said. "His role in the end is to be his captor and his tormentor. And now I certainly have reason for revenge."

To do that, Esparza will let darkness embrace him.

"Hannibal is smarter than him, and he's playing against a monster," Esparza explained. "And that in order to deal with a monster, you have to become one."

The new season will explore the world of "Red Dragon" and "Hannibal" novel where its characters are based from. This means adding new characters like "Red Dragon" main antagonist Francis Dolarhyde (to be played by Richard Armitage), Reba McClane (Rutina Wesley), and Will's wife Molly Graham (Nina Arianda).

"Hannibal" season 3 premiere is set for summer.
