'Gotham' TV Series Spoiler Penguin Excited To Meet The Joker, Scarecrow And Other Batman Villains

Although the last episode of Fox TV series "Gotham" has Cobblepot in the title, it was not exactly about the man who will become the Penguin.

"Everyone Has a Cobblepot," the show's 18th episode, saw Jim Gordon (Ben McKenzie) and Harvey Bullock (Donal Logue) investigate how colleague Arnold Flass gets freed from prison. They traced it and found out that Commissioner Gillian Loeb has something to do it. They realized proving Flass guilty is difficult and so, they employed the services of Oswald Cobblepot (Robin Lord Taylor).

The Penguin may not be the center of the episode but he clearly stole it, especially in the last few minutes.

He made two old couple fight each other for a chance to escape. When one of them is not breathing anymore, Oswald brought out a gun and said he just ordered them to fight because he only has one bullet in his gun.

Oswald Cobblepot manages to work with the "good" characters in the show despite the ridiculous things he has done. He has worked with Jim and Harvey and talked face to face with Edward Nygma. Does this mean he'll get to meet more major characters? That might be the plan "Gotham" TV series writers have for the Penguin.

Talking to Comic Book Resources, Taylor said that Oswald and Nygma, who will become the Riddler, will share more moments together. He also said that he's not closing any door when it comes to meeting The Joker, Scarecrow, and Selina Kyle.

"That's one of the things I'm most excited about as we go on," Taylor said when asked if Penguin will somehow meet Bruce Wayne, Selina Kyle, the Joker or the Scarecrow.

He didn't share any "Gotham" TV series spoiler regarding the Joker but he did say something about meeting Nygma more.

"When we got the official pick-up for the second season, I was like, "Yes!" because that means that as these other characters develop, or in Edward's case, becomes more and more of a darker person, it means he and Penguin are going to have to interact again at some point --- and it's going to be a new power dynamic. Edward will be another person Oswald has to deal with, either to embrace and try and be friends with, or he's going to be another adversary he has to look out for."
