'Silent Hills' PS4 Release Date Coming In 2016! 'Walking Dead' Cast Norman Reedus Expressed His Excitement To Star In Hideo Kojima's Horror Game

Following announcement that the hit horror game "Silent Hills" is coming to PS4, game creator Hideo Kojima revealed its possible release date.

While he was intentionally discussing the possible gameplay for the highly anticipated "Silent Hills" with WatifGaming, he mentioned that it will be released sometime in 2016.

"Development is cycling between either allowing players to choose to play the whole game in first person or third person, or keeping it fixed third person and having some areas be first person only," he explained. "Either way we want to do something with first person. The game will not be out more than likely until 2016, lots of time left."

The horror title game is reportedly going to run on the Fox Engine, just like Kojima's other games.

While he did not specifically say that "Silent Hills" will have an open world gameplay when it comes to PS4, his statement is a dead giveaway though.

"All I can say is that Fox Engine is meant for Open World. I cannot discuss more on the game design itself in detail yet," he revealed.

While "Silent Hills" is in production, "Walking Dead" cast Norman Reedus, whose role as Daryll in the hit AMC zombie-themed show earned him recognition form critics, expressed his excitement to star in the game spearheaded by Guillermo Del Toro and Hideo Kojima.

"I'm super excited to be a part of 'Silent Hills.' Both those guys are geniuses at what they do. We haven't shot the 'heavy stuff' yet. Kojima approached me right after Guillermo did," Reedus confirmed.
