"How to Get Away with Murder" season 2 will start airing by fall this year.

When the show re-opens, there is one new big player to watch out for. Frank Delfino (Charlie Weber) is no longer just the right-hand man-runner-bodyguard of Annalise Keating (Viola Davis). He is now in the center of everything.

In the first season's two-hour finale, it is revealed that Annalise's confidante is more than just an assistant. He may not be a lawyer but he is a lot of things; one of which is a murderer. Fans who have seen the finale would probably know by now that Frank is the one who murdered Lila as per order of Sam (Tom Verica).

Most were surprised that Frank and Sam were that close. Are they friends or what? When Sam ordered the bearded henchman to murder his student lover, he mentioned something about Frank being in debt of him. What could that be? That is something people will see in "How to Get Away with Murder" season 2.

Talking to the Hollywood Reporter, Viola Davis, who plays the main protagonist Annalise Keating, says she has no idea Sam and Frank are connected that way.

"First of all, when you see everything play out with Frank and Sam, you see my reaction to it. It's something I don't know," Davis said, reluctant to reveal any "How to Get Away with Murder" season 2 spoilers

"It's not like you see a scene with me having a reaction to Frank strangling Lila. My fantasy is that basically Sam stole my relationship. It's like breaking into somebody's bank account."

Although not sure, Davis has her own theory regarding that huge revelations in the "How to Get Away with Murder" season one finale.

"I think he understands what Frank is to Annalise and that Frank has probably done some improper and unethical things in the past to help keep her in that position," Davis theorized. "So when he was in a bind, he used that relationship. My fantasy would be that Frank did it to somehow protect Annalise and maybe some money was exchanged. I think it is as simple as that. Now, I can be mistaken; I don't know where the writers are going to go. We shot two different endings for the last episode."

Aside from Davis and Weber, other holdovers for "How to Get Away with Murder" season two are Alfred Enoch's Wes Gibbins, Jack Falahee's Connor Walsh, Aja Naomi King's Michaela Pratt, Matt McGorry's Asher Millstone, Karla Souza's Laurel Castillo, and Liza Weil's Bonnie Winterbottom. Katie Findlay's Rebecca Sutter was killed off in the finale.
