The Important Part Of Floyd Mayweather Jr Manny Pacquiao Fight According To Pretty Boy Himself

Mar 13, 2015 09:21 PM EDT | By Evelyn Hammond

The first and only press conference for the Floyd Mayweather Jr - Manny Pacquiao fight took place in Los Angeles last night with both camps seeing each other face-to-face in a strange light atmosphere. Manny walked to the stage first wearing his sunny smile. Pretty Boy came next, emotion less and seems to be all business the whole night. The two met at the center stage with Manny still smiling while Floyd intently looking at his next opponent.

Talking in front of the press, it was a different Floyd Mayweather Jr that welcomed fans. He was strangely humble compared to the previous conference for his old fights. After the event, he even has kind words for Manny Pacquiao.

"I don't have anything bad to say about him," said Mayweather.

"He's a remarkable fighter, he's a good fighter. He's done something right to get to this point. And my job is just to be smart."

Bets for the Floyd Mayweather Jr - Manny Pacquiao fight doesn't speak much about the real favorite in the mega fight. Several boxing icons also weighed in and their opinions also don't clear anything. For Floyd, he thinks he will win, of course. However, what's more important about one party's victory is that fans will be happy. Floyd thinks it is the fans that will come out triumphant with he and Manny Pacquiao finally meeting in the boxing ring.

"I believe in my skills. And I believe I'm going to be victorious," Mayweather said.

"I know the fans can't wait for [the fight]," he said. "We finally made it happen. Everything's about timing. It took a while but we made it happen."

Manny Pacquiao echoed Floyd Mayweather Jr's sentiment regarding their fight as fans' victory. When it comes to who will win, of course, he thinks it is him.

"I am very happy that Floyd Mayweather and I can give the fans the fight they have wanted for so many years."

"My footwork and hand combinations will be my advantage," he said. 'I tell you Cotto and Margarito punch hard. This is boxing and its about punches."
