Bobbi Kristina Brown Health Condition Remains Unstable, But There’s Still Hope For Whitney Houston's Daughter To Recover, Expert Says

Brown and Houston family who've been on Bobbi Kristina's side are still mum about her real condition.

The 21-year-old, who was found unresponsive in her Atlanta home, has been under a medically induced coma for nearly six weeks at Emory University hospital remains the same, a source told Extra.

Aside from Brown's social media rants, the last update about Krissy the public has known so far came from her Aunt Pat Houston.

The message hinted hopeful Whitney Houston fans that there was still no improvement on Krissy's condition as she asked for continued prayers, IB Times reports.

"Today is Bobbi Kristina's 22nd birthday and we ask you to continue to keep her in your prayers as she is still fighting the battle of her life," Pat Houston wrote on Facebook.

Though there have been no signs that Whitney Houston's daughter might wake up on coma soon, Dr. Sasan Yadegar a Neurosurgical Director with Dignity Health Northridge Hospital and Trauma Center claims that there still hope for Krissy.

"In the best of circumstances, what happens with these patients is that you expect the first thing to return is some respiratory function, the second thing to return is their eyes may open," the doctor told Extra.

"They may not follow commands but their eyes may open. The third thing is movement of the upper and lower extremities. That is not to commands, but due to some type of stimulus. And then slowly, and God willing, they start following some commands."

Dr. Yadegar also points out that recovery may be very slow and would require a long term care and therapies, but full recovery is not possible he claims.

"Hopefully, they get the patient back up walking and sitting in a chair and then ultimately they work with them with the speech therapy to get them to talk again and understand the speech and learn how to get around and get by with their lives," Dr. Yadegar continued.
